What Causes Bump On Head With Headache?

I have a bump on the back of my head starting 2 days ago. I didn t hit my head I just noticed it while working i thought I might be getting a headache then touched the back of my head near my neck and felt the bump because it was ver sore.. It has been a few days and is still the same size and is very sore still. I font know what it could be from or if it is something to be concerned with.

Hello!
I understand your concern.
In my opinion the sore bump on the back of your head is an inflamated lesion.
I think it can be an abscess , or just an imflamated lymph node or sweat gland .
Have you had fever during these days?
I would recommend you to go to the doctor to examine it .
A routine blood test should be done.
If an infection is suspected you will need antibiotics.
If it is an abscess it may need surgical treatment. But it is less probable as you haven't mentioned having fever.
Hope to have been helpful!
Thank you for using HCM.
Best wishes Dr. Abaz Quka
