What Causes Bump On Penis Shaft?

I have a rough bump on the shaft of my penis it is pinkish in color and it has been 3 days since I first spotted it. There is also minor itching coming from it but for the most part it s painless. My doctor brushed it off as nothing serious but this is messing with me mentally. What can this possibly be?

Hi,

Since you have been physically examined, you should also get STI tests done to rule out genital warts, syphilis, HPV, penile cancer, etc. You may not have any such infection but avoid sex for a couple of days till you get the reports.

Avoid multiple partners & unprotected sex. If you are diagnosed with STI you will be treated with antibiotics & antivirals. For itching, you can apply hydrocortisone ointment or take antihistamines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
