What Causes Bump On The Inner Region Of Thigh?

i have a bump inside my pelvis near the upper inner thigh and above the penis, It s about the size of a pearl and it isn t visible but i can feel it. It isn t a cyst or anything because it isn t visible at all but today i just noticed that when i was urinating i could see the bump on the left side. I m concerned.

Hello,

I can understand your concern for bump on the inner region of thigh. I can make out three possibilities after analyzing your query.

- Molluscum contagiosum: a water filled bump due to virus.
- Ingrown hair: due to infection of the hair root by bacteria.

- Viral wart: thorn like soft projection due to viral infection.

I need good resolution picture to give you exact diagnosis. For the above you can meet a dermatologist also for best possible diagnosis & treatment.

Till that time I suggest you to not to pinch, pop or scratch the area. Keep the area dry and wear cotton socks. Do not get exposed to extremes of environment and protect yourself from further infection. Also do not try any home remedies as can leas to further aggravation of the problem. For the pain sensation if any I suggest my patients to take paracetamol or diclofenac for once or twice daily.
