Hello my 6 year old son had a small whole in his fingernail over the lunula from biting his nail. After swimming in a lake and pool we noticed a a hard yellow fungus on top of this area. We applied peroxide and triple antibiotic and wrapped with a bandaid. After 5 days it appears it hasn t gotten better and he now has small bumps growing on his finger past his cuticle. We plan to take him to his pediatric doc. Should we be concerned? Any ideas what this may be?
