What Causes Bumps In The Back Of Throat, Swollen Lymph Nodes, White Patches On Roof Of Tongue?

Hi, a month and a half ago I started having red bumps in the back of my throat and around where my tonsils were, thick mucus, and swollen lymph nodes, but no fever. Strep throat was negative so I thought it was just a virus and took ibuprofen. After a week the fatigue and pain were totally gone but red bumps never went away completely, and two weeks later I was back in bed with painful neck, throat and head. I went to get tested for STDs but that was also negative. It recurred a third time last week and this time with cough, pounding in my head when walking, pain when laughing or sneezing, and white patches on roof of tongue. I m getting quite worried. Could this just be allergies? A bacteria? If so what can I do? Thanks!

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having chronic pharyngitis giving all these problem.
It might be bacterial.
You might require one course of antibiotic medicine like Azithromicin for 5-7 days.
Avoid fried, chilies, junk food and cold drinks.
Avoid smoking if you are smoking.
Do Listerine or feel-fresh gargles.
Ok and take care.
