What Causes Bumps On Both Sides Of Labia Minora?

I have a few bumps on both sides of my labia minora. One of the bumps protrudes a small amount, but the others are small bumps. I recently shaved and hadn't noticed them before. They do not look like warts and I was at the gyno for a pap a couple months ago and she didn't say anything, but I didn't notice them at the time. They do not hurt or cause any discomfort. Any ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

based from your description, yes, it could be folliculitis. this usually occurs after shaving or when a hair is accidentally pulled out and it gets infected. it could also be a cyst, or an inflammatory reaction which is starting to form an abscess. a consult with your gynecologist is best for clinical evaluation. medical and/or surgical management will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
