What Causes Bumps On Legs And Arms?

my 80 yr old sister has shiny and swollen bumps on her legs (calf) and slightly on her arms which she seems to think came gradually after working in her flower garden and possibly being stuck by thorns. They have been gradually appearing for about a year.

Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Charu Bansal. I understand your concern.

It seems that she has been suffering from a condition called urticaria.
It is an allergic condition of skin due to recent infection, drugs, food, environmental factors, seasonal change etc.
In such cases, i usually advise my patients to take tablet levocetrizine or fexofenadine daily for atleast 2 weeks.

This is my personal opinion for you based on available details. If you have any further query please ask me.
