What Causes Burning And Sore Throat With Dark Red Line?
When you look in the back of my throat I have like a dark red line thst forms a rain bow from one side to the other. The smooth part surrounding my esopogus..behind molars you see when u open your mouth. I have a constant burning. No sore throat when I swallow...just all day long sore throat in thst area. Did a rapid strep test neg. Waiting for culture to come back. But it burns and nothing is helping. It has gone on for days and I am starting to freak out. dr said she had never seen before.

Hence you get burning sensation but no other symptoms. Do not worry, the culture report will guide your Doctor. If your Doctor has not seen anything like this, better to take an opinion of another ENT who is senior enough for his experience that he must have come across such a case. Get started on antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, steroids and antihistamine and you eill be fine.
