What causes inner ear burning and ache???? I have just had my thyroid removed, with the hope that my (left) ear would stop hurting....I'ts been a month since my surgery and my ear pain has come back......( I had Hosimoto disease I'm not sure of the spelling) My ear problem started 1 year ago....I went to a ear Dr. and she gave me lots of tests and could not find anything wrong except my thyroid was enlarged....
If you are not having any decreased hearing or balance problem , then i think your pain may not be due o an ear infection, rather there may be a source somewhere else in the head and neck like teeth or sinuses! Please dont worry, meet your ent doctor again. he will examine you thoroghly and guide you further. Take care
