What Causes Burning In My Penis While Urinating?

in the past week or 2 I have had pain in my penis when I urinate. it is more of a burning sensation than pain. I also have the same pain after I ejaculate. The weird thing is that i dont have the pain all of the time. some times it hurts, and sometimes it does not. maybe in the past 30 times I have urinated it may have hurt less than 5 times. Ideas?

Hello,

I think this is probably a sign of genitourinary tract infection possibly orchiepidydimitis. You should do a urine analysis and uroculture to check for bacteria which is causing it and which is the right antibiotic used. Doxycycline is preferable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
