Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain burning in throat and chest while swallowing food commonly occurs in individuals having Gastro-esophageal reflux disease commonly known as Acid reflux and burning occurs due to inflamed food pipe or oesophagus secondary to acid injury..
It is not necessarily seen in pregnant women only.
You should
consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and get an Endoscopy done..
For acid reflux he/she can advise you to take
Proton Pump Inhibitors like
Pantoprazole ,
Rabeprazole or Omeprazole.
Antacids like
Milk of Magnesia can also be taken half an hour before meals.
Drink plenty of cool water.
Avoid hot, spicy and acidic foods.
Take small meals every 2 to 3 hours intervals.
Avoid large and heavy meals.
If you are overweight try to shed loose some weight.
Take your dinner atleast 2 hours before sleeping.
While sleeping keep your head slightly raised and sleep in left lateral position if you want to sleep laterally..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
