What Causes Burning Pain And Pressure In The Lower Back?
Hello , I m having burning pain and pressure in my lower back , I have swelling where my hips are and I was born with a sixth lumbar vertebrae, fused with my sacrum. I don t know if this attributes to my pain. What could be causing this and what s the best treatment?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a bulging disc in the lumbar column or chronic degeneration of vertebral column. The fused sixth lumbar vertebra can contribute in this clinical situation. Coming to this point, I would recommend performing a lumbar spineMRI study. In the meantime, physiotherapy can help improve your situation. Other treatment options would be Pregabalin or Gabapentin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
