What Causes Burning Pain In Stomach Below Left Rib?

i have a burning pain in my stomach about 4inch below my left rib, this has been a recurring problem for over 6 months and occasionally when i roll over in my sleep feels like a tearing pain which is so painfull it takes my breath away, i am 43 yrs old, 5'2" and have several medical issues at the moment inc fibromyalgia and problems with my ligaments
