What Causes Burning Sensation After Ejaculation?

When my husband and I have intercourse after he ejaculates inside of me I have a burning sensation like I am on fire inside, and the outer area of my vagina. Can you give me an idea what it may be. We have been married 31 years and this has only recently started.

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. I would also like to know your age and menstrual pattern and if you are on any medication. If you are in the perimenopause or menopause, it is natural to experience dryness of the vagina. This leads to burning sensation during and after the intercourse. The hot flushes experienced during this stage add to the discomfort. Rough intercourse can be another cause. Mild vaginosis, mostly due to the dryness and decreased immunity, can also be a cause. A local examination will help clarify the situation and plan further management. Hope this helps.
