What Causes Burning Sensation After Having Sex During Pregnancy?

I am 30 weeks pregnant and ever since i got pregnant it burns really bad after sex, ob doctor said its normal and not to wear panties and to watch with unscented soap and unscented toilet paper and no sex till its got better. its been happening for 25 weeks now and I thought it would be OK to finally to have sex well it burn so bad afterwards I cried and so I had my husband look down there and he saw it was really red and had two bumps that look like canker sores in the in side. Me and my husband only been with each other. So I know its not a std. What could it be?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Your presentation does resemble either an infection or a possible growth that gets irritated when your husbands penis comens in contact with it causing friction.

I recommend the following: a urine analysis, vaginal swab test, speculum and physical examination by a doctor. If required an STD panel as well.

Please report to your doctor. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
