Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently stopped smoking on August 29th. since then I ve noticed A LOT of changes in my body. First is the tingling and burning sensation throughout my body? Next is the tightness is my chest on both sides. Also i am hungry all the time plus i feel heavy and tired all the time. Is any of this normal after quitting smoking?
I have studied your case. Whatever symptoms you are feeling right now is called withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms are present because your body is in habbit of getting nicotine daily and now it is not present so you are feeling uneasy ness. I have following solutions for you. 1. Nicotine tablets are available which you can take after discussing with your doctor. 2.Keep your self busy with games or in club . if your mind is distracted than you will feel better. 3. Take tablet Methylcobal daily which is helpful in such symptoms. 4. If still you are not feeling better than meet a psychiatrist. He can advise you further about these things. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. Thanks
