Hello.
My husband is have a raw and burning sensation on the back of his tongue down his thoat. He has some tiny red spots (they can barely be seen but they are there). The posterior of his tongue burns all the time (for the last 3 days). it burns when he eat and when he doesn't eat. What could this be?

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The red spots over the tongue can be because of depapilation of the tongue due to nutritional deficiency. The other possible cause can be a herpes virus infection. Nothing to be panic. you can consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. mean while you can take a course of topical anesthetics like lignocaine and topical analgesics like choline salicylate. Take nutritious food.
I hope I have answered your query. Take care.
