Hello and thank you for asking HCM

I have read all the symptoms and i understand your concerns.

Let me explain in e few words what has happen. Our urine is sterile, which means there are no bacteria or other type of microorganisms. In the moment that a bacteria, enters our urinary tract,it infects it and our urine changes a lot of its parameters and that's why we have the burning feeling, urinating with signs of blood,or have the urge to urinate.

Don't worry,it can be treated. In my experience we have a urinary tract infection (UTI) probably a cystitis (infection of the bladder)

So as a doctor,i would start with some antibiotics. In this case the fluoroquinolones (ciprofloxacine for ex) are the best to fight the infection.
Also i would do a urine test/culture to confirm the diagnosis.

At this moment, she can start these steps that i will write below to help her immune system to fight the infection
-Plenty of liquids, i would prefer fresh fruit juice like lemon and oranges because they have Vitamin C that helps our immune system.
-urinate as soon as she feels the need
-use some of the best natural antiseptics out there like Peppermint-ginger-juniper berry tea, chamomile tea, cranberry juice to increase the acid levels in her urine, which helps to kill the bacteria

If you have any other question, please feel free to contact me.

Wishing your friend a good health.
