What Causes Burning Sensation At Hyper-pigmented Areas?
Hello! I m a 20 year old white male. I had a birth mole removed from my back a couple of months ago because I injured it while training BJJ. The place where the mole used to be has hyper-pigmentated and it s brown, and I m starting to feel a burning sensation on it. Should I be worried? Thanks.
Nothing to worry. The hyperpigmentation is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation occurred after removal of a mole. And at the same time, the nerve endings in that area might have become sensitive leading to a burning sensation. As time will pass, the recovery may occur. So, no need to worry and no treatment is required. Just exploit the sensation that you feel.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
