I am having burning a little during urination, but mostly after. It lingers after urination. Bouts of frequent urination. Seems like the drippings after cause the skin on the under side of my penis to burn. My throat, tongue and lips burn off and on too. Almost like they were dipped in acid without physical acid coming up. I will say that I have a inguinal hernia in my groin and suffer from acid reflux. This has been going on nearly a month. I am on omneprazole 40mg for the reflux. I have recently been tested for std s and UTI. All negative. What s going on with me doc this is miserable?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
These symptoms are suggestive of uroinfection and this is common in your age and usually is manifested with pain during urination, fever and changes in urination frequency. Also, blood traces may be present in urine which can have odour or colour change. Other common cause are urinary stones. Diagnosis is established by doing urine analysis and urinoculture and after this antibiotic treatment may be started if necessary. If there is negative urine analysis then you should do ultrasound of kidneys to check for stones. You should drink plenty of fluids and take raspberry tea or juice to promote urination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
