hi, been having burning sensation upon urination for the past couple of days, it progressed small blood clots in the urine yesterday. UA is positive for WBC, RBC and protien. The urine culture was negative, but I am on antibiotics. Could you tell me whats going on?
Burning sensation, blood clots while passing urine and pain may indicate urinary tract infection and kidney stone. Even though urine culture indicates no growth possibility of kidney stone and dehydration may cause the above symptom. Kindly do ultrasound abdomen to rule out the cause. Kindly take three to four liter of water and cranberry juice. It will take care of the dehydration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Senthilnathan Subramanian
