Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In the current scenario, you can go ahead with the mammogram to be on the safer side, especially if you have a strong family history. Yet, it is also possible that the burning sensation could be superficial and possibly due to some nerve irritation. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies, dryness of the skin, tight undergarments etc., also can cause this burning sensation. Also, internal causes like hyper-acidity should be ruled out. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
