What Causes Burning Sensation In Nipples Followed By Sensitivity?
Yes hi there I am a 18 year old female soon to be 19 in 3 months and today when I was taking my usual run my nipples started burning so bad and later on when I was showering they were extremely sensitive. This has actually happened to me before one time when I was a sophomore in high school. im kind of scared. they are hurting as I type... I considered they are burning because i start my menstrual in 2 weeks but i dismissed the thought because i don t get tender breasts or nipples when i start....hope you an answer my question!
Sensitive and tender breasts are usually observed during ovulation process and they are normal. Ovulation is the process by which ovary releases egg/ovum into fallopian tube. It usually occurs midway in the menstrual cycle. That is, if your menstrual cycle is of 30 days, ovualtion may occur during 15th to 18th day of your cycle. Here, you have to consider day 1 of menstruation bleeding as your day 1 of menstrual cycle.
If the tenderness and sensitivity along with burning nipples do not go away in about 5 days, you should visit a gynecologist for physical examination.
