What Causes Burning Sensation In The Abdomen?

Hi I was getting out of shower last night and was drying off then felt a little burning sensation on my lower abdomen....I looked down and couldn't see anything then I had gotten a mirror to look at it( and seen this big blister like sore it is red all around it and a really thin layer of sking came off to liek when you pop a blister...it doesn't really hurt unless something rubs across it like a towel or other clothing so I put some A & D oinment on it and covered it with a gauze pad and a bandaid last night so I was able to sleep comfortable because I am a belly sleeper...LOL

Hi,

I understand your concern.

The burning sensation you had on your lower abdomen could be due to rubbing of towel versus a very dry skin (perhaps you had a really hot shower last night).

That's not worrisome. Good you put A&D ointment locally. Avoid rubbing too hard with towel. Avoid hot showers.
It's better not to sleep on your belly until improvement.

All the best.
