What Causes Burning Sensation In The Heel After Removal Of Cast?
My cast was removed yesterday after 6 weeks for a broken 5th metatarsal bone. My doctor said I could be full weight bearing and gave me a shoe. I feel burning sensation in the heel especially but also the rest of the bottom of my foot. Is this to be expected?

yes it occurs in lot of patients. you start with physiotherapy. dashboard exercise, soft foot wears, hot water fomentation.start ankle mobilisation . and stretching of plantar fascia by physiotherapist.this will relieve your pain soon. take care. get well soon.
