What Causes Burning Sensation In The Knees After A Total Knee Replacement?

I had full knee replacement on my right knee in 2015. I never had any problems after I had it done. But now I m getting burning pains in my knee and also it feels like there is something just sitting on top of my knee not connected. I m also just getting pain that feels like it s under the replacement. I need my other knee done but I want to clear this up.first.

Hi,

The burning sensation can be related to a mild nerve root irritation. This can improve with regular exercise and methylcobalamin supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal,
Orthopedic Surgeon
