Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thank you for your query.
I appreciate your concern for your mother.
The reason why she has burning sensation in feet and fingers is because of a peripheral neuropathy. Diabetes is known to be the commonest cause.
You may also get a Vitamin B 12 level done as its deficiency also produces peripheral neuropathy.
Thyronorm does not produce neuropathy.
Capsaicin containing local applications would give some relief. If it does not help, there are prescription medicines which a doctor can prescribe her that would help.
If you have further queries, I am available.
Wish her good health.
