What Causes Burning Sensation While Urinating?

i keep getting a uti i have had three so far this year. i went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and they took a urine sample and i didnt have a uti..well the burning went away.. now i feel that its burning again when i use the bathroom..could it be a yeast infection instead?
