What Causes Burning Sensation With Small Bumps On Tongue During Pregnancy?

My tongue almost appears to be peeling or looks kind of chemically burnt...it gets very red on the tip and is more of a regular color on the back...I often get little bumps on the tip and around the edges and they hurt. I am 8 months pregnant and brush 2-4 times daily.

Hullo and welcome to motherhood.A baby is developing inside you and naturally it gets ALL its nutrition from your body, this may cause a few deficiencies in you. Go for regular check-ups, take iron, calcium and protein supplements and also multivitamin and B complex tablets. You are most probably suffering from glossitis or aphthous ulcers. Brushing twice a day is sufficient, don't overdo it, you may be actually be bruising it. Take soft diet while your tongue stays like this and consult your obstetrician.
