What Causes Burning Urination After Having Unprotected Sex?

Back in April, I had some unprotected sex with a female. 2-3 weeks later, I developed an intense burning sensation with urination. The burn was almost crippling. I went to the hospital. After swabbing and taking my urine, they informed me that it may very well be chlamydia gave me a shot and four pills. All was well. Few weeks later, a burn returns. However, not nearly as intense. I went back to my PCP, he gave me another round of four pills and a ten day supply of another antibiotic. I took both in their entirety. All was well. Fast forward a few days ago. I now have some slight urinary discomfort (teetering on the borderline of burn . However, not really bad and not all of the time. Note, I have not had ANY sex since back in April. What could be the issue? What would the chances of an STI/STD coming back TWICE with no exposure? Thinking about this is affecting my social interactions.

Hello
Thanks for query .You have been proved clinically as well as on lab test that you had Chlamydia infection which you acquire due to unprotected sex with unknown woman .

Though you have taken appropriate antibiotics in adequate doses and time the Chlamydia infection remains in dormant state for couple of months and flares up again intermittently .

You need to get basic blood test for screening to rule out acquiring STD .

Repeat urine culture and take appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
