What Causes Burning Urine, Abdominal Pain And Fever In Children?

Hi my 8 year old son has been having fevers for the past 10 days every night. He is complaining of stomach ache. We have taken him to Emerg 4 times already. They have ruled out a bladder infection, so far we ve had lab work done, and an ultrasound and they havent found anything. He is also complaining of his urine burning sometimes.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A child with GI infection, usually take less amount of liquids stuff due to uneasiness in the stomach and that leads to secondary changes in urine following dehydration and possible urinary tract infection or mere concentrated urine.

Due precautions to maintain hydration with homemade juices and oral rehydration salt will cover up the issue very gently.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
