I am a 37 year old black woman. One day this black mark popped on my lip. weeks later my lips started to get scaly and turn black, almost like they were burnt. after awhile it'll go away and then pop back up. the lining around the top of the lip burns and looks awful
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain scaly and black appearance of the lips can be due to excessive dryness or chapped lips, allergic reaction, excessive sun exposure, infections, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation etc.. I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned according to the cause.. As of now you can start applying Kojic acid containing cream on the lips.. Apply Vitamin E gel at night.. Exfoliate your lips with lemon by sprinkling salt over it.. Application of Honey can also help..
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora
