What Causes Changes In Behavior After Taking Escitalopram?
My husband started escitalopram 3 weeks ago. He is very quiet, not sleepy, but very pensive. He says he doesn t feel any different. He is taking 5 mg. tablets 2xdaily. He doesn t think he should continue. I think he should give the medication more time. What do you think? Joan

Though he is taking 10mg totally, this 10 mg is normally taken at one time.
As you mentioned , it can take a few weeks for an effect to be noted but medication is normally adjusted after 3 weeks if no effect is seen.
He can be reviewed by his doctor regarding possible adjustment.
