What Causes Chest Area Pains Persistently?

hello my name is joshua mckeon i am 24 years old 5'10" 160lbs as of right now this very moment i am having chest pains directly over my heart area i actualy think it is my heart hurting, this has been going on for about four years and it has been happening every 2 months or so now for the past week it has been happening every day about every 3 hours it is like sharp stabbing pains could this be seriouse do i need to see a doctor in person
