What Causes Chest Discomfort After Jumping From A Height?

last summer ,on vacation at the river, i jumped from a 30 foot rock I didn't cross my arms over my chest and i am bigger on top. I had a lot of discomfort for about a month afterward.Off and on I still experience some chest discomfort shouldn't this be healed by now?

Usual time for recovery in such cases is 4-5 weeks. But if don't follow precautions, this discomfort can be seen for prolonged period.
So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid movements causing pain.
3. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
4. Take painkiller like ibuprofen.
5. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
