What Causes Chest Discomfort And Shallow Breathing?
Hi. My husband has been in hospital for 11 days with suspected heart attack. He developed chestpain after having fluesymptoms. He is 48, healthy with a cholestrol of 4.7 but some heart disease in the family. His ECG was normal but tryponin level 5.25. His angiogram clear and now they are uncertain what it is. He feels some discomfort in his chest when he breaths in which makes his breathing shallow he says. His voice sounds slightly hoarse. His observations are now ok and he was nearly discharged today but the doctor we saw seemed so unsure that my husband decided to stay to see another doctor tomorrow to see if more tests are needed. They mentioned possible myocarditis or pulmonary embolism which is worrying. I m a Nurse so know a little bit but not enough
Hello, looks like your husband can use a few more medical tests, ruling out pulmonary embolism is important as it can be cured once diagnosed.so i think you should go ahead with few test like contrast ct of the chest and or ct pulmonary angiography , a d dimer test can also be done to rule out pulmonary embolism
