What Causes Chest Pain After An Left-sided Chest Injury?

Hi. I am a 66 year old women who fell down (face first) with my right arm under my left breast. The fall pressed my arm against the ribs and a emergency room visit and x-rays found no broken bones. It s been 6 days and now my chest hurts when I move and randomly spaced cramps causes me much pain. Should I see my doctor or is this usual for such an injury?

Hi, there!
You can apply pain killer gel (like Ibuprofen) on injured area.
Ribs are painful due to breathing moves, even without fracture.
Your recovery period will take up to 2weeks.
Dont put bandage around chest, its not necessary.

I hope this helps
