What Causes Chest Pain After Having Food?

Hi, I am 20 years old, have a poor diet, and I smoke cigarettes. I have been having chest pain only on the left side and normally after I eat. As well as stomach pain mostly in the pelvic area after I eat. This has been going on for about 2-3 weeks. Should I make a doctor s visit?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I think you are having GERD (gastroesophageal Reflux disease) ,as your symptoms are related to eating only.
But better to rule out cardiac cause by ECG.
If this is normal, then GERD is possible cause.
It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter.
So try to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid large meals.
2. Avoid hot and spicy food.
3. Avoid stress and anxiety.
4. Take proton pump inhibitor.
5. Go for walk after meals.
6. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed.
