What Causes Chest Pain Along With Cough And Pressure In The Chest?

I have been having chest pain problems for a while now, and the doctor said it was costochondritis after a bunch of tests. But now Im coughing a bunch with a bunch of mucus, and very tight painful pressure on my chest, similar feeling to a muscle cramp. Am I just sick, or are these related?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are having mucus expectoration as per history

So now your further work up needed in form of Auscultation first and chest X-ray. If bronchitis picture present in X-ray and Auscultation than antibiotic course and decongestant can be prescribed

Decongestant like Levocetrizine can be taken just now

Take vitamin C lozenges as well

Drink more water

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
