What Causes Chest Pain And Light Headedness While Eating Or In Cold Environment?

My daughter is 19 yrs old. About 3 weeks she had chest pain, tightness of chest , breathing difficulties and light headedness. She has these symptoms after she climbs a flight of steps, while eating or when she is in a cold environment. X-ray and blood test shows no abnormality. The doctor feels it due to stress but my daughter insists she has no stress or problems. Personally I don t believe it is stress related. What should I do. Thank you.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Since her chest x ray and blood reports are normal,I think asthma or cardiac cause (valvular heart diseases) may cause such symptoms.
So get done PFT ( Pulmonary Function Test ) to rule out asthma.
Get done ECG and 2D Echo to rule out cardiac cause.
If all are normal than no need to worry much.
It will mostly stress related only.
So consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in her life and start working on it. Avoid stress and anxiety. Be relax and calm.
