What Causes Chest Pain Only While Sitting?

When I am sitting I get chest pains. When I am standing and doing work, there is No chest pains. I have to drive alot and every time I drive I get terrible chest pains. I saw a cardiologist and my angioplastic and my echo cardiogram were fine. The chest x ray was good also. Why is my chest hurting me when I sit down only and not when standing or moving around? Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion I think you are having muscular pain mostly, as cardiac cause has been ruled out.
Another thing which supports the muscular pain is positional pain (only in sitting posture).
So your sitting posture causes some of the muscle s to pull or work more. This causes pain in your case.
So try to follow these things.
1. Proper sitting position is required.
2. Seat in back support chair only. Avoid too much bending on either side .
3. Take good pain killer and muscle relaxant.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected site.
You will be alright. No need to worry much.
