What Causes Chest Pain, Swollen Legs And Weight Loss?
I am a 40 year old female. I have been having some mild pain on the left side of my chest, in my left arm that radiates down to my ring finger off and on for a week. Today while setting at my desk and at home my heart rate today has been between 116 to 118, I also have had swelling in my legs, feet and ankles. I have an appointment on Tuesday 6/3 with my doctor. I thought at first it was just stress/anxiety until I started experiencing swelling. I weighed myself then took a fluid pill and the next morning I had lost 3 pounds.
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you are having cardiac disease. Your symptoms like left sided chest with radiation to left upper arm, rapid heart rate, leg swelling all are suggestive of heart disease mostly heart failure. So better to consult cardiologist and get done ECG and 2D Echo to rule out cardiac failure. 2D Echo will give you idea about function of heart. If it is decreased than you may need inotropic drugs with diuretics. So better to consult cardiologist and discuss all these.
