What Causes Chest Pain While Suffering From Hypertension?
hello doctors my niece has just been diagnosed with hypertension she is fairly young age 32 and also her heart rate is very high her doc tor gave her a medication called labetalol po twice daily i dont recognize this med and do you think this is the best med to start her off with her bloodpressure reads 139/100 he concern and what could she do to stop her heartrate from going up and she has intermittengly chest pain but not life threating it comes and goes i am really concered about her. i would appreciate your help or advice i told her no caffiene and try the dash diet and lower sodlum she is supposed to be seeing a cardiologist in 2 weeks time
If this is the proven hypertension then it has to be treated with medicine if the given medicine working better controlling the blood pressure then it is nothing to worry if the drug is not controlling blood pressure then you can discuss this with her physician or you can go for second opinion, to confirm hypertension is important even high heart rate also need to be ruled out for ventricular tachycardia and for this she needs EKG and ECHO, such case is matter of concern, second opinion is advisable or discuss the case with her physician.
