What Causes Chest Pain With Bruise On Chest?

I woke up this morning with a pain on my chest, something i hadn't felt before, I was really scared... Then when it went away and I woke up later and took a shower I noticed a bruise on my chest. Can this bruise come from the inside out? do you have any idea what this could have been?

In my opinion you should first undergo chest x ray. If nothing in it than it must be herpes infection. In this dermatome of the skin involved and cause skin lesion with tenderness. So if chest x ray is normal consult dermatologist for this.
