What Causes Chest Pain With Tingling In Arm?

Hi, I used to be borderline high blood pressure. The last five times I have used a at home hp machine it gave me between 166 - 1344 for the sys and 107 - 85 for the dia with a heart rate of 78 - 70. All this at what I consider at rest. The last few days I have had some chest pains I can not explain and now my left arm has son tingling going on. This does sound like a possible heart attack. I am 43 male and a lifts obease. The sill question is should I go to a hospital or wait a little bit?

Emergency Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello, Thanks for contacting HCM.
Your BP is on the higher side. The symptoms which you have described, classically fits in the grade of heart Ischemia - a pre Heart attack condition. So my advice is not to waste time and get to a nearby hospital and get an ECG done and get evaluated by a cardiologist.
By the mean time you can take a sorbitrate tablet of 5 mg under your tongue, and if you are not bleeding from any site, or not had surgery recently take a tablet of Disprin or ecosprin.
Be Healthy.
Dr Sanjay.
