What Causes Chest Tightening, Wheezing And Throat Burning While Running?

First I was a pretty good runner and now I cannot run a mile without having to stop. My chest tighten and it s hard to get air. I am wheezing the almost the whole mile. It feels like a have something stuck in my throat and it burns when I am running.

Hi thanks for asking question.
Here are few possibility.
1.First check your hemoglobin level , as in anemia there might be difficult breathing on exertion.
2.Second if you have habit of smoking and associated cough present then chronic obstructive pulmonary disease has to be ruled out by chest x ray and pulmonary function test.
3.If you have hypertension then early heart failure case might present with difficult breathing on exertion.ECG will be helpful.
4.With advance age stamina as that of young age is not there,So problem has to be individualised accordingly.
