Hello and welcome to HCM! I can understand your concerns and i will try to give you some more informations. Your symptoms shows clearly that you may have a problem with the thyroid function. The thyroid hormones are responsible for a normal function of the metabolism. It means that when the thyroid doesn't produce enough hormones, the body will work slower, it means that you; -may feel sleepy -may put on weight -feel cold and have low body temperature -may have slower heart rates -constipation ect. Your symptoms doesn't seem to be related to Diabetes. You may consult your doctor and see the possibility to measure the thyroid hormone level. Hope you will soon find a solution to your problems.
Best regards, Dr.M.Guni
