General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

There can be variety of issues which can present as such problem like:
- Esophagus motility related issues
- Neurologic problems
- Stress related conditions

An ideal approach would be primary consultation with ENT specialist necessary indirect laryngoscopy evaluation and further need of Barium evaluation with or without upper GI endoscopy as per the physician concern.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
