What Causes Choking Sensatiion While Swallowing Liquid?
Every so often when drinking, the liquid starts to make its way back up my throat, until it gets to a point that my airway is blocked. The choking feeling continues until I try to expell it by coughing it up. I feel like I have only the one time to expell it because if I don t, I know I can t take another breath to try again. It is a very scary situation. The amount of liquid I can expell usually is more the just the amount I would normally swallow at once.
I think u need to get itself checked up for any cranial nerves dysfunction which participate in protective function of the larynx to prevent liquids entering the larynx and hence coughing..
