Opthalmologist found cholesterol in my eyes, but my internist found average and healthy cholesterol levels in my blood -- good and bad cholesterol. So what else causes this? What is the next step in figuring out what is going on? My eyesight is blurry and I am 52. No other health problems and not on any medications.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having cholesterol deposits in the eye. These are called as hard exudates and are usually found in retnooathies associated with systemic diseases like diabetes, hypertension..... Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you With regards Dr. Dadapeer K
